The Dynamics Has Begun

The Dynamics has begun.

This' the desired work model, all therapists can join the program and the Basic will provide with a well-managed serviced clinic. Just take part in the Dynamics and you will gain access to our facilities, and most vitally, your own career path.

The Basic endeavors to produce an encouraging clinical and academic atmosphere through the Dynamics, too. We believe the Dynamics will create an opportunity for therapists to gather and perform, and we can learn from each other TOGETHER.

骨刺 = 痛症 !?

'X光報告話我有骨刺,可以點算?'

很多病人一聽到骨刺這個名詞每每聞之色變,如果X光報告上知道自己身體內有骨刺長出,更加會覺得自己得了一個麻煩的毛病,更有悲觀者認為是不治之症,因為在他們心目中,就算是做手術也不能根治骨刺的。

我 在這裡不是要介紹什麼可以根治骨刺的療法,只是想提醒讀者們骨刺未必是引致你本身痛症的主因。骨刺其實是人類老化過程中其中一個產物,大部份人過了中年 以後都會有骨刺產生,但有骨刺的人未必會有痛症。比方說我們看80歲老人家的X光片,可能整條脊骨都有骨刺,但不是每個80老人家都會腰酸背痛,所以本身 沒有痛症,但照X光發現有骨刺的讀者,先別要被它嚇怕,有需要的時候詢問你的醫師或物理治療師吧!

減肥妙法

前天再有病人詢問我有何妙法減肥,又問針灸對減肥是否真的有效,在此我跟大家分享一些意見。

其實任何減肥方法都應該同時控制輸入和輸出,每天辛勤運動同時又大吃大喝,當然收不到理想效果。據我所認識,針灸能平衡過量或不足的食慾,所以對一些難於抗拒美食的人可能會產生一些作用。但對於本身食量不大,但因為每天工作坐足10小時的朋友,問題不在於輸入太多,而是輸出不足,所以我還是勸喻他們下定決心運動吧!

Standing Right

That's Standing Right.

To stand right, we have to put our feet firmly and evenly on the ground. Balanced ground reaction force is so vital that any deviation may lead to malalignment of the knee joint, the hip joint, the pelvis and the whole spinal column, leading to scoliosis as seen before.

We need good and balanced muscle work, too. Without the work bones will not sit in the right place in all postures; therefore, much emphasis was put on Exercise Therapy to build up such work.

Learn to work with gravity, and we can Stand Right finally.

Standing Right

Do you stand right? The question is weird enough; yet, being a modern bipedal primate, we've lost our fine skills in "Standing Right".

We wear cushioned shoes, we don't walk. We've lost most of the small muscles and propioception under our feet, and our feet shrink. There might be leg length discrepancy, torsion of knee joint and many other conditions leading to "Standing Wrong", too. Those pose a great deal of strain to our lower limbs and even up to the spine.

This' a good example of such impacts. We have formulated a specific treatment program to the boy, and the result is very satisfactory.
